• Aniseed: (Pimpinella anisum) China. Anise seed provides a
sweet, licorice-like aroma that inspires exhilaration, euphoria

• Bay: (Pimenta vacemosa) West Indies. Bay has a spicy, sweet

Dilute in jojoba oil and use as an invigorating scalp tonic. Bay
blends nicely with eucalyptus—supporting its effects during
cold and flu season while moderating its intense medicinal aroma.
Its powerful, spicy, sweet aroma is used to produce bay rum fragrance.

• Birch: (Betula pendula) USA. Fresh green, sweet herbaceous,
slightly camphoraceous aroma. used for Hair rinse and tones the
skin. Can be applied to a variety of skin conditions, when well
diluted in the appropriate carrier oil, or cream. Used
through the ages, for application to the skin. It is an astringent,
tonic, antiseptic, relaxing, stress releasing.
• Bitter Orange: (Citrus aurantium) Bitter Orange has a fresh,
dry, almost floral aroma with a rich, sweet undertone. It
is antidepressant, antiseptic, antispasmodic, carminative, digestive
febrifuge, sedative, stomachic, tonic. May help stomach ailments
such as, nervousness, diarrhoea and constipation. Aids the absorption
of vitamin C which could ward off viral infections. Appears to deal
effectively with dry skin, wrinkles and dermatitis. The oil is used
chiefly as a flavoring agent, but may be used in the same way as
oil of turpentine in chronic bronchitis. It is non-irritant to the
kidneys and pleasant to take.
• Cajeput: (Melaleuca cajeputii) Indonesia. The yellowish-green
essential oil has a penetratingly, sweet, herbaceous aroma. It inhibits
the spread of bacteria prevalent in sinus, throat, bronchial cough
and respiratory infections, giving temporary relief to these symptoms.
It is a germ killer, excellent for coughs and gives temporary relief
to muscular and rheumatic aches and pains. Respiratory mucolytic,
tonic & disinfectant; topical antiviral. Blends well with: Bergamot,
Cypress, Juniperberry, Lemon, Pine, and Rosemary.
• Cedarwood: (Juniperus Mexicana) Morocco. Distilled from oil-rich
heartwood, Texas cedarwood has similar properties to sandalwood
at a fraction of the cost. The oil helps focus thoughts and stabilize
the emotions. Mix several drops with citronella and grapefruit for
a refreshing patio spray. Oily, rich, sweet-woody. Mild sweet-woody,
somewhat balsamic undertone. Sweet-woody, less balsamic. Harmonizing, relaxing, anxiety reducing.
Strengthening, supportive, & meditative. Fairly non-toxic. Avoid

• Cinnamon: (Cinnamomum zeylanicum) Madagascar. The fresh, spicy
aroma of cinnamon leaf is more reminiscent of cloves than cinnamon.
Energizing, focusing and revitalizing, cinnamon leaf enhances active
reasoning when diffused into the air. (This powerful oil can be
a skin irritant and should not be applied directly to the skin.)

• Citronella: (Cymbopogon nardus) Indonesia. Fresh, grassy
and warm-woody. It is preferred for scenting outdoor sprays, room
sprays and household products. The
therapeutic properties of Citronella oil include: antiseptic, deodorant,
insecticide, parasitic, tonic and stimulant. Citronella oil's most
useful quality is that of insect repellent. It is best used in a
spray, a diffuser or on a cotton ball amongst the linen. Citronella
oil plays a roll in clearing the mind and has a toning effect on
the body. It can be helpful with colds, flu and minor infections
